Welcome to my therapy practice! Reaching out for help is the first step toward creating the life you deserve. 2024 is your year to embark on your journey to better self awareness and emotional discovery.

I primarily work with young adults (ages 18+). Many of the clients I see are looking to work on issues related to anxiety, depression, dissociation, managing life stress, or improving their self-esteem. Some recent themes and issues I have seen with my clients are working on being more independent/self-sufficient, healing after being cheated on, and difficult familial dynamics. Confidentiality and compassion are the basis of my practice. My therapeutic style can best be described as collaborative and empathic.

I am particularly passionate about working with young adults who are navigating their parenting roles and may need more support while raising their little ones.

My approach is grounded in a person-centered orientation with fundamentals of evidence-based practices. I draw upon psychodynamic psychology, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I work collaboratively with each client to best help attain your goals. It's important to me to provide you with a safe space to talk about your experiences and also for you to learn ways to cope with life stressors.

My experience working with a range of different levels of care including residential treatment centers, intensive outpatient programs, and community mental health has given me the ability to gain skills and resources in various therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to trauma-informed care and dialectical behavior therapy. I also enjoy being an adjunct professor at Pepperdine Graduate School of Education and Psychology.

I offer in-person and telehealth appointments. I look forward to discussing your goals for therapy and ways for you to create a meaningful and fulfilled life.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long are therapy sessions?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes each. I also offer extended 75 minute sessions.

How much does a therapy session cost?

A typical individual session costs $190.

Do you take insurance?

I can provide a "superbill" for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement for out-of-network providers.

I want to begin therapy, but I'm not sure I can afford it. What do I do?

If you find the session fee prohibitive of your ability to receive mental health treatment, please contact me directly. I have a limited number of sliding scale appointments available.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask that my clients cancel or reschedule their appointment at least 24 hours in advance.

Is everything in our session kept confidential?

Yes, therapy is confidential. There are a few exceptions where I am mandated to break confidentiality, for example if there is a report of child abuse, dependent adult or elder abuse or if there is a report of intent to harm yourself or another person.

How long have you been in practice?

I have practiced as a therapist for 8 years in a range of different settings from residential trauma treatment centers to intensive dialectical behavior therapy outpatient programs to community mental health. I have enjoyed working in private practice for the past five years.
